Hickory Hammock at Johns Lake is a gated community in Winter Garden, off Avalon Road and Marsh Road just west of Stoneybrook West. The big draw is the water. The community touches Johns Lake, Lake Burnett and Lake Claire, and residents have a community dock on Johns Lake, which the HOA puts at about 2,500 acres.
There are about 500 homesites, a mix of single-family homes and townhomes built mostly between 2013 and 2020 by builders including M/I Homes and Ryland. That gives you a range of sizes in one gated neighborhood.
The amenities are a real highlight. The Club has a catering kitchen, a zero-entry pool with lap lanes and a fitness center. There are also two tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, a dog park, playgrounds and five parks spread through the community.
Winter Garden Village, downtown Winter Garden and the West Orange Trail are all a short drive, and SR 429 makes the commute simple. Disney is close too.
