About Turtle Creek

Turtle Creek is a guard-gated neighborhood on the west side of Apopka Vineland Road in Dr. Phillips, just north of the shops and restaurants. You'll know it by the red brick entry and the guardhouse.

It's the only neighborhood on Little Fish Lake, a small lake at the southern tip of the Butler Chain. A canal runs from Little Fish Lake out to Pocket Lake and the rest of the chain. It's a narrow run with a couple of tight turns, so it suits smaller boats and people who know the route, but it does connect. A small group of homes sits on the lake or the canal, and a larger group backs up to a big pond on the west side.

Homes were built from the mid 1990s into the early 2000s, from about 1,800 square feet to more than 8,000, on lots up to about an acre. The neighborhood has three sections, Avalon, Boca Pointe and Waters Edge, and Avalon has its own pool.

Residents share tennis, basketball, sand volleyball and a playground, and the Turtle Creek Homeowners Association runs the community.

Turtle Creek is one of the easiest places in Dr. Phillips to live day to day. Groceries, restaurants and I-4 are all close, and you still come home through a staffed gate.
